The Lean Startup

The Lean Startup

By Eric Reis

If you work in a business or want to start a business, Eric Reis’ book will open your eyes to a whole different way of building innovatively. The Lean Startup isn’t just a method, it’s a movement that shames the standard business models of management with its ingenious approach to building and marketing new products or services.

Most entrepreneurs or intrepreneurs (a term Reis introduces and defines as an innovator in a large company) think they have to build a perfect product or service before they throw it out into market pond to see if they get tugs on their line. Reis turns this concept on its head and proposes that innovators should start with an MVP–minimal viable product–and run it through multiple rapid test and modify cycles to see if it’s worth the time, money, and energy.

A revolutionary book that will transform the way you think about business whether you are a company of 1 or 1000.

FORMAT: I read this first on audio via Audible.com, but there’s so much valuable content I’d like to put into practice that I bought a hardback version as well. The author reads his own audiobook, and his voice is a little bland, but it doesn’t take away from the powerful content.
